This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Masaomi anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[Some of his conversation with Katara still weighing on him the previous night, Aang makes a call to Asami.]

Hey, Asami. How are you?

Hello, Aang. [...Nope, still weird to say] I'm up, anyway.

Oh. I'm sorry to bother you, but.... do we think we could meet outside? I have some questions to ask.

I was just walking Jinora to the library. I wasn't sure if you were out and about yet. If you're still near the house, I can meet you by that weird stone Sokka head.

[...Pftt] So I'm not the only one who sees that! ...Alright, I'll meet you there.

[not that she. Knows what this is about.]

[He gives a weak chuckle.] Well it's kinda hard to miss. But I'll be right there.

[The journal's closed, and he air scoots back to that rendezvous point, his mood growing a bit more serious as he dwells on the questions left from the previous night.]

[She's no idea what this is about but... possibly probably Korra, right? Or Tarrlok. They just showed up last night. So she sits there on the Sokka head]

[He makes his way there with just a brief chuckle at the absurd image of Asami sitting on the Sokka head. He hopes down and gives a slight wave, but he remains serious.]

Hello again. I'm sorry that you haven't been here long and we keep on just asking you questions about everyone else. [But seeing as how she's the closest thing to a responsible adult who knows the whole book as of that week...] But I have something else to ask you myself.

It's- [Okay. well no, it's not really okay. But she swallows and nods. Might as well see this though. It wouldn't be super right to refuse the Avatar, after all.] Alright, I'll try to answer.

[He takes a deep breath before continuing.]

It's something that could help us all with our future safety. I've heard that I'm going to be able to stop that Yakone guy. But... I have no idea how to resist his bending. [He doesn't want to name the actual form.] Do you know how I do it?

[She frowns. She only heard about it second hand. Didn't have the visions, didn't see it. Everyone else said it made sense, but Aang stopping him was history...] To be honest, no. I don't know the specifics - like I told Katara, I only know about it secondhand.

Oh, I... understand. I know you don't know firsthand, but I had to make sure there wasn't anything important that I was missing. You're the one who knows the most, unless Korra can get those memories here, too. There has to be some way...

...Can the Avatar connect to previous avatars here, Aang?

[She chooses not to bring up Korra's spiritual problems, not here.]

No, we need the Spirit World for that. Only the Avatar State is still possible here. [Pause] Do you think that'll stop Korra from getting the memories?

I'm not the Avatar, Aang. I don't know how it all works, particularly here.

[...] I just know Korra only got the memories from you. The ones related to Yakone, that is. [...] Or anyone else who was alive forty years ago might know.

[But there's no one like- oh well there's Lin...]

Right, right. I guess if I don't have those memories yet, and she's not connected to the Spirit World... maybe she won't. It'll be harder to get more details, Lin might... [He shakes his head vaguely because I have no idea how else to handwave this] but this is still helpful. Thank you, Asami.

I'll help however I can, Avatar Aang. [After all, she did give up... everything ever to help Korra. This is the same principle, she imagines.]

Thank you, Asami. Korra's lucky to have a great friend like you. [And good to know he didn't dry up the Avatar awesome friendship well in his lifetime.] And I'll gladly help you, too, whenever you need it.

[Korra doesn't know that yet though... and there's other things. A complicated little mix of expressions play out a moment, but she settles on gratitude and a little nod] That's an honor, Avatar Aang. Thank you.

It's no problem. Just think of me as an ordinary monk, it's not like I'm that big statue I keep hearing about. [He looks around a little nervously, wanting to make up for troubling her somehow. For once, he's not sure if the marble trick will cut it.] Do you want some ice cream or something?

[There's no way that's possible. She smiles though, and nods. ...And then thinks of something else] I heard that you recently went to the moon. Do you think you could tell me what outer space was like while we're at it?

Uh - yeah. [A bit unexpected - and recalling those few days dampens his mood.] It was... really weird. It's very dark and cold, and on the moon there's... the gravity's so loose that anyone can bounce around like an airbender. [If they had gone their under different circumstances... he might have loved it.] There's no air so you always have to wear a tight spacesuit. Except they also made little cities that are inside domes which have fake air so it's almost like normal there, but not really.

How can you make fake air? [She's following, hoping he's leading to ice cream to go with it. But she's curious now. She knows it was a draft but...]

[Have faith, Asami. Aang is surely steering her towards... whichever local venue supplies ice cream.]

That's science, you should ask Sokka that. Not even an Airbender can just make air. At least I think it was fake, but when I think about it they could have just brought air up from the planet. I was just too relieved to have some kind of air again to wonder how it got up there.
