Can anyone tell me what a "Komodo" is?

[This might seem random in context, and she's frustrated, okay. See, it all started with her going into the library just for something to do (maybe find a book on car construction to figure it out) and then she found some Zoobooks in a box. She started to flip through them and began to recognize... some of these are animals she's never heard of! Actually most of them are. But from an 'alligator' she can figure out what's the part of a catgator that's a 'gator' and not a 'cat' (though it helps she found another book on 'big cats') And she then got to work researching, spending most of her afternoon on it. You can walk in on her doing this.

She's gathered, by the time she breaks for an early dinner (now taking an animal encyclopedia into Seventh Heaven) she the animals she knows (normal ones) are actually split in half-ish on this world called Earth. Thing is, Earth also seems to have some combination animals too. Like tiger sharks. So she's in the process of trying to figure out how certain animals split apart.

The fact she can find "Rhino" (or well, "Rhinoceros" but it seems most people shorthand it to "Rhino" so she hopes that's not a combination animal because she's never haerd of a "ceros") but she can only find a "Komodo Dragon." There's also apparently an island of Komodo but (bah)!!

Run into her in the library, at dinner while flipping through this book, or answer her plea in voice. She might be baffled by some other animals too, the voice is just that one for simplicity.]

[Well it looks more like some sort of cat... and he isn't all that big. So she looks curiously at the cat but doesn't realize it's one of the things she's been reading about/ Yup]

[Simba nearly stops in his tracks as his nose picks up scents wafting from Seventh Heaven. He meanders over to the doors and sits with a frown. He doesn't like this door thing. Standing up to place his forepaws on said door, he looks over to the nearest person, which happens to be Asami.]

I don't know, actually... I've just been reading about animals today and I can't seem to find a picture of one.

You may want to give a bit more of context to that don't you think? Like... Where does your question come from, for example.

Then again the one to whom bells usually ringed was Manta and his encyclopedia, he probably would know what she's asking about if it was from Earth... And if not as well if he had been here long enough, Manta wouldn't have stayed without reading all the encyclopedias in the library, would he?]

Well I... how do I explain this. Most of the animals here in Luceti are half-animals, I found some magazines which suggest that's the case for a lot of animals on "Earth." But there's still a few normal animals, and kodomo dragons are one of them. I know what a dragon looks like from old paintings, but I've only got a picture of a komodo dragon and a komodo rhino to try to figure out what a komodo looks like.

Well, I don't know much of animals and such, but I think that Komodo is basically just the place those animals are from. They are called komodo dragon to differentiate them from similar animals from other places, I guess. Like... The siberian husky, there's no animal that's just a siberian, Siberia is the place they are from.

People on Earth do that a lot.
